The 2024 Understanding China International Conference is held in Guangzhou. While attending the conference, Zhang Jianping said that it is undeniable that the Chinese economy and the global economy are now deeply intertwined and mutually dependent. China continues to contribute around 30% annually to global economic growth, making it a vital driver or the foremost locomotive of world economic progress.

Zhang Jianping is deputy director of the Academic Committee of Chinese Academy of international Trade and Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Commerce.
